| What Can Sponsorship Achieve? |
| As an individual seeking sponsorship you stand to gain financial and/or product backing as well as increased brand/name recognition. With the increased visibility that sponsorship can make possible, your value to current and future sponsors increases. On the other hand a sponsor gets there brand or message in front of participents and spectators of your events. Basically they are advertising through you. |
| Do I have to have national exposure? |
| No. National exposure would surely help but is not necessary. Keep your level of exposure in mind when approaching potential sponsors. If you are primarily regional or statewide, focus on smaller organizations that would benefit from local exposure through your events. |
| What type of companies could I get to sponsor me? |
| The most likely sponsors are companies within your industry but even businesses that have nothing to do with your industry can be obtained as sponsors. |
| Am I good enough to get a sponsor? |
| The truth is you don’t have to win every competion, to get sponsored not everyone started at the top, it certainly helps but not necessary. Sponsors want there product/logos displayed and without sponsorship this would not happen and the sponsor would not have any name recognition. |
| How likely is it that I will get sponsored? |
| This depends on your sponsorship opportunity. Sponsors are always looking for good sponsorship opportunities, however, most of them are not very well conceived or planned. Proper preparation and a well thought out objective are key. |
